2 Mobile Drillings Rigs from Calgary, AB to Brisbane, Australia

Brisbane, Australia | Ambercor Shipping has successfully completed the challenging movement of 2 Mobile Drillings Rigs from Calgary, AB to Brisbane, Australia.

The height proved to be the major obstacle for the heavy haul. Due to severe assembled height of the units, the masts of each of the rigs had to be removed for transport to avoid power-line lifts for loading onto specialized trailers for heavy haul inland to the Port of Tacoma and then reattached at the Port by Skilled personal. The units were then loaded on a RORO vessel for export.

One additional FR container was picked-up in Vancouver and trucked to Calgary for loading further accessories that were not attached to the units. Once the loading was completed the unit was trucked back to the lower mainland to our local warehousing facility for power-washing and final cleaning. We also loaded an extra standard container for smaller accessories in Calgary that made its way back to the west-coast by rail. Both were then loaded in Vancouver, BC onto a container vessel for export.

Australia’s strict BMSB rules that run from September to end of April had to be followed & Fumigation Certificates had to be provided before Rigs were allowed to load. The Rigs were Power washed as well for a "cleanliness Certificate".

The Detailed cooperation from the Manufacturer, the Transport Company, Craters, Cleaners, Fumigators, Customs Formalities, Terminal handlers and the steam ship line made a planned smooth transition to Loading onto the Vessel.

Ambercor Shipping Inc. would like to Thank all the Expert Professional personal that provided their excellent service.
